Reading K-type temperature
PostPosted: Wed Jan 04, 2012 9:01 am     Reply with quote

Hallo

Can somebody please let me know if they've tried reading temperature from K-type thermocouples, is there a recommended chip that will do the conversion and I presume you will make use of the Analog inputs on the Pic?

For digital output:
Maxim MAX6674 and MAX6675

For analog out:
Analog Devices AD597

The MAX6675 has been discontinued in favor of the MAX31855KASA.

I'm just finishing up a reflow oven controller with it.. It's nice.
