What is NVR?? In this driver... rtc_write_nvr(address,data) Write to NVR data = rtc_read_nvr(address) Read from NVR

Non Volatile RAM
Many clock chips have some spare memory that you can use for storing data. This data will not be lost on power off as it is backed up by the same battery the clock is using. Usefull for storing passwords, etc.

Ok! THANKS You Know wich pin i have to use to connect a battery?

If I remember correctly there are several options, depending on using a standard battery or a rechargeable battery / Super Capacitor. Please study the datasheet from www.maxim-ic.com.
