Changes to PIC18LF8722?

I have been using my bootloader code on the PIC18LF8722 without any problems up until now. I got a new order of PIC's and my code is failing when it checks the first character of the incoming data.
eg.

if (bBuffer[0] != ':') {
//continue
} else {
//bad header
}

Upon checking the PIC's using an ICD2, I see the following:
Target Device PIC18F8722 found, revision = Rev 0x2

All chips I used before this shipment reported:
Target Device PIC18F8722 found, revision = Rev 0x0

I don't see how a revision update of the chip could break my program.

Compiler version is 3.249

What does the errata for that silicon rev say?

Does any of it look like it could break the bootloader?

So it worked before, so there was maybe a hack to fix a error is silicon.
Now the silicon is fixed and the hack is breaking something else??

For my 2cents, it sounds like something else changed.
