what is the purpose of the .h file? If one defines all the variable in the .c file, the .h is still needed?

You are correct, the .h file is not needed if everything required is defined in
the main program. Using include files like the .h file just makes the
program cleaner and more organized. However, be aware this will not
make it possible to support unsupported processors. _________________ Google and Forum Search are some of your best tools!!!!
