I used a 18F4550 and I put LED connect to the USB port (D + and D-) and PIN_C4 PIN_C5 respectively, but both PIN not want to set as output.
is there a configuration that make these two PIN as standard output.
this is the configuration that i used....
Code: | #include <18F4550.h>
#device adc=10
#FUSES NOWDT //No Watch Dog Timer
#FUSES WDT128 //Watch Dog Timer uses 1:128 Postscale
#FUSES PLL1 //No PLL PreScaler
#FUSES CPUDIV1 //No System Clock Postscaler
#FUSES USBDIV //USB clock source comes from PLL divide by 2
#FUSES HS //High speed Osc (> 4mhz for PCM/PCH) (>10mhz for PCD)
#FUSES NOFCMEN //Fail-safe clock monitor disabled
#FUSES NOIESO //Internal External Switch Over mode disabled
#FUSES NOPUT //No Power Up Timer
#FUSES NOBROWNOUT //No brownout reset
#FUSES BORV20 //Brownout reset at 2.0V
#FUSES NOVREGEN //USB voltage regulator disabled
#FUSES NOPBADEN //PORTB pins are configured as digital I/O on RESET
#FUSES NOLPT1OSC //Timer1 configured for higher power operation
#FUSES NOMCLR //Master Clear pin used for I/O
#FUSES NOSTVREN //Stack full/underflow will not cause reset
#FUSES NOLVP //No low voltage prgming, B3(PIC16) or B5(PIC18) used for I/O
#FUSES ICPRT //ICPRT enabled
#FUSES NOXINST //Extended set extension and Indexed Addressing mode disabled (Legacy mode)
#FUSES NODEBUG //No Debug mode for ICD
#FUSES NOPROTECT //Code not protected from reading
#FUSES NOCPB //No Boot Block code protection
#FUSES NOCPD //No EE protection
#FUSES NOWRT //Program memory not write protected
#FUSES NOWRTC //configuration not registers write protected
#FUSES NOWRTB //Boot block not write protected
#FUSES NOWRTD //Data EEPROM not write protected
#FUSES NOEBTR //Memory not protected from table reads
#FUSES NOEBTRB //Boot block not protected from table reads
#use delay(clock=20000000)
#use delay(crystal=20000000)
#use rs232(baud=19200,parity=N,xmit=PIN_C6,rcv=PIN_C7,bits=8,stream=gsm)
#use RS232(baud=9600,parity=N,xmit=PIN_D1,bits=8,stream=xbee)
#use fixed_io(c_outputs=PIN_C4, PIN_C5) |

this is one of those 'you GOTTA read the manual/datasheet' themes...
as cut and pasted from the PIC18F4550 datasheet...
Page 15, Table 1-2

...clearly states what the pins can be used for.
NOT all PIC pins can be used for outputs and inputs !!
