SigFox IOT, anyone?

Anyone used Sigfox?

I looking for information about Sigfox.

I found TI, CC1120 and Microchip, ATA8520E. Now i hope for other there have used SigFox.

Sigfox i think can be real smart IOT, it is cheap hardware compared to what i have used before (SIM module), and the license is cheap too.

I know it is only for very limited byte posting, but for my need it will work fine.

Max 140 8 byte messages/day. 100bps.
In the UK at least, real coverage is very poor. They claim a link reliability that is far above what it actually had....
It needs a TXCO to even get this (it is very affected by timing errors).
No acknowledgement, so you have to send a lot of times, and preferably with data recovery options. So 'real' data rates are tiny. You can send effectively a 're-transmit' request, but only at very low intervals (4 messages/day).
If you only want to send a very few bytes a day, then it may be a usable option.
If there is a LoRa LPWAN anywhere near you lose all connectivity...

what's the real application, distances and data requirements ?

simple, cheap HC-12 modems are good for about a KM, 2 +PIC can a 'repeater' with NO fees !

I can go about 15 miles on direct copper.

there are probably other methods/ equipment that you could use.
maybe just simple SMS ?
