Difference between PORT and PIN

What is the difference between PORT and PIN?? Are they same??
I have searched in the internet but did not get satisfactory answer.

PORT is typically a collection of I/O pins that can be accessed at one time. PORTs can be 1 bit wide, 4 bit wide, 8 bit wide, 16 bit wide or more (or less) depending on the device being used (and the 'mode').
PIN generally means a single 'pin', which can be Input/Output, input only or output only.
