Here it is.
https://www.futurlec.com/Mini_Seven-Segment.shtml
On the back is a 10 pin female connector.
How do we check with ohmmeter for common ground please?
Thanks! _________________ PIC Hobbyist |

not really a CCS compiler question, basic electronics101 but....
honestly contact the seller or the manufacturer of the product THEY should have the information !
sometimes they print the pinout on the PCB, though I only see the front of the module
depending on the connector ,with a 3 volt battery and 2 leads you can 'ring out' (locate...) which pins are the segments .
it's a Toshiba 5161A device, download the datasheet, use DVM-ohms(bzr) to see where the display pins go....
now a clever guy WOULD use a PIC connected to all 10 pins, cut code to test all the possibilites, save the results ,then 'decode' which pins are the segments and the cathode.....

There is usually the manufacturer's part number on the side or top of the display.
Google this and you should be able to download the datasheet, for that 7 seg display, it will have the pin out.

Edit:
I see Temtronic has already said that. Note to self Read full post first...
