my pcw c compiler dont have the 18f4520.h device, where can i find it??
or someone please share the code for me.
for an example, this is the device code for the pic16f877a:
Code: |
//////// Standard Header file for the PIC16F877A device ////////////////
#device PIC16F877A
|
++++++++++++++++++
Header file deleted.
Reason: Forum Rule #10
10. Don't post the CCS example code or drivers, or ask for such code and
drivers. This includes header files for devices (example 18f452.h). If you
are missing this header file that means your compiler does not support it!
Upgrade your compiler.

The 'header', is simple text.
Adding the header, _does not_ allow the compiler to support a processor. The processor support is built into the devices file that comes with the compiler, and updating this, involves either using device editor, and copying settings from a similar chip (in which case you also just copy the header) - sometimes needed if a chip is not yet supported, or buying a compiler update.
The header file is copywrite, and won't give you support for a chip. You are in breach of forum rules, by posting the one for the pic16.
Also, the 16F877, uses the PCM compiler, while PIC18's require the PCH compiler.

The 18F4520.H was introduced aprox. in the first quarter of 2005, since then was included in all the PCH,
PCWH and PCWHD versions.
