Ok...sorry...I just realized I still had "Use Fast IO" in my code. I removed it and was able to get "LCD Live" and then frozen LED status lights. I then changed the code to say "LCD Living" to try and dispaly more than 8 bits...I got "LCD Livi" and no more status light activity. At least now I can get a display via flex_lcd. Now working on long hand 4bit code.
