I was testing a "new hardware"... but is solved... short circuit

patience ckielstra...

I'm using a 5V processor and it is functioning properly
have a voltage regulator to 3.3V

I repeat, I can write on the SD Card, but not FAT

As others have said,the software does work, on properly configured hardware.
Depending on the I/O pins you've selected for interface, odds are real good it won't work, though it's NOT a driver problem.
It's the 5V PIC and 3V MMC card problem. You _must_ properly interface the two devices, as has been pointed out on numerous 'threads'
Simple solution, get a 3V ( LF) series PIC. If pin for pin with what you're using, a simple, remove 5V PIC, insert 3V PIC and it'll be 'up and running'
Next solution, is to use a 'logic level' translation device (IC or FETs) between the 5V PIC and the 3V MMC card.
I could write an eBOOK about this subject and retire a millionaire if people bought it. It all boils down to proper hardware design and construction.


If all else fails, buy a Viniculum module and ANY flashdrive and you'll have an EASY storage 'system' in 10-15 minutes. It'll cost about $40.

I wrote and read the SD Card, but no in FAT format, then the hardware is correct
