I'm rolling out a product using the Sensirion SHTC3.

* I2C
* Low power
* Does the conversion itself
* Self calibrating
* +/-2% accuracy
* Fast at ~8s response time
* Inexpensive ($1.49USD today)
* Provides temperature
* Provides relative humidity

In our case, it is everything we wanted for our indoor sensor.

For this product I used a PIC16F1824, although it is overkill for the task. The entire PCB is less than the size of the first 2 knuckles of my index finger.

The PIC's too small....after a couple of inhouse revisions, and 3 customers requests.....you'll need 5 extra I/O pins, more memory and 2 more peripherals and a PCB twice as big. Very Happy
THAT's the reason I like the 18F46K22.....a 'man sized' PIC with more 'under the hood' thatn any sane programmer really needs....well, maybe just 2 more I/O pins would be nice.... Laughing

Sensirion's SHT21 is used to measure "ambient clima".
Simple to apply with I²C with high precision.

Ive used the Si7021 ans HIH6130, interchangably in a low volume commercial product i rolled out, with preference to the Si7021 due to cost and durabilty. Ive had several of the HIH6130 fail, but i have no way of knowing if user fault is the cause. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE HOW STUPID YOUR END USER WILL BE.
I am currently working on a new design using the Si7021 for volume production.

Temtronic check out the 18F47Q43... and more importantly look at its errata! I just got my first prototypes and I'm having a good time! Except having to move to MPLABX....

Keep in mind the errata on new chips tends to grow quite significantly for the first year or two. They do not know yet about all of the errata.

Yes, and Gabriel you need to update your signature. The 47Q43 was only
added with 5.093 I think....

Hahaha yes Ttelmah I need to update it.
I had to update MPLAB, CCS to 5.093 AND to a new Pickit4!

...it had to happen at sometime.
Hopefully i can hold off windows 10 for a while longer.

I must admit it is a very nice looking chip. I wonder if MicroChip have
actually spent rather more development time on it, than they do on
many of the PIC's, since a lot of peripherals are slightly different from
their previous incarnations, and the errata list is the shortest I have
seen on a 'new' chip for a very long time.
Potentially 'hopeful'... Very Happy

64MHz operation at 1.8 to 5.5v. Impressive.

Be aware though that there may well be compiler setup 'hiccups'. The
first compiler version for a new chip should always be treated with
'caution'....
