What OS version needed for IDE package. |

I am considering an upgrade by buying the IDE version. I would like to know what version of MS operating system is needed and if some version of a browser is needed. I have been happy with the nonIDE version of the compiler and wonder if the upgrade is really worth it. The compiler I am using is at least two years old. |

The IDE upgrade is definitely worth it! CCS has made a lot of improvements in the last two years.
I am running it on win98SE and on Win XP with no problems. |

IDE upgrade? |

I am running a pre 98SE version. However, I had installed a USB card with drivers. When I tried to upgrade my MPLAB, it bombed as I suppose it doesn't recognize my USB drivers. I don't want to invest in the CCS IDE and then have it bomb. BTW, I don't intend to upgrade my 98 OS. I am migrating to Linux, but no IDE is available for it...so far. |

I've tried the latest IDE on Win95, Win98SE, Win2000 and WinXP, and it works fine on all of them. |
