Upgrade string pointer problem
PostPosted: Mon May 24, 2004 6:47 am     Reply with quote

With older version

playtime(sTime) //sTime is a real converted to a string and passed here
{
if sTime[0] != '0' //don't play initial zero
{
do something
etc.

compiled and worked just fine.

With latest (3.190) version I get a compile error 66 "Previous identifier must be a pointer" on the 'if' line.

How come?

Did you mean " if (sTime[0] != '0' ) "?

And show us the way you've defined sTime in the function entry point.
