Compiler too old for Mplab Ide what can I do?

im trying to compile a C code with the mplab but the warning I get is compiler too old for mplab ide . is there a way round this? thanks

What is the version of your compiler? And MPLAB?

Get an older version of MPLAB.

Here is the Microchip page with the MPLAB archives. You didn't
give your version number, but I think MPLAB vs. 5.70.40 will work
with almost any version of CCS. You can run "ccsc +setup" from
a DOS window to install it. CCSC.EXE will be in the CCS install directory.
